Description

A delightful treat combining rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and the sweetness of freeze-dried bananas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried bananas
  • 4 ounces high-quality white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup smooth processed peanut butter

Instructions

  1. On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, place the banana slices in a single layer close together. They should be almost touching.
  2. Bring a medium pot of water to a simmer. Once simmering, turn off the heat.
  3. Put the chocolate and peanut butter in a heatproof bowl and place it over the water (make sure no steam or water gets in the bowl). Let it sit over the hot water, uncovered, until about 2/3 melted. Gently stir it and allow it to melt further until completely smooth; chocolate is very sensitive when melting, so don’t rush it. Otherwise, it may seize (clump).
  4. Once fully melted, pour over the bananas then spread until all of the slices are covered.
  5. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour or until set (you can refrigerate to speed this up).
  6. Cut into desired pieces; leftover bark can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerated for 2-3 weeks.

Notes

  • This bark can be customized with different types of chocolate or additional mix-ins.
  • Ensure no moisture gets into the chocolate to prevent seizing.
