Instant Pot Spaghetti

Description

This Instant Pot spaghetti is a quick and easy recipe that combines ground beef, pasta, and spaghetti sauce for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground sausage)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 24 oz spaghetti sauce (jarred)
  • 1 3/4 cup water (or broth)
  • 2 cup pasta (penne used)
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 small onion (diced)

Instructions

  1. Set pressure cooker to sauté and add olive oil.
  2. Add ground beef and break it up, including the diced onions and garlic, and cook until the meat is no longer pink on the outside.
  3. Then turn the pot off.
  4. Use a wooden spatula to scrape any stuck-on meat off the bottom.
  5. Pour in sauce and water, then pour pasta on the top and gently submerge into the liquid below. Do NOT stir.
  6. Seal the lid and steam valve and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
  7. Then do a quick release, lift the lid, and stir.
  8. Serve with shredded parmesan on top.
