Description

Delicious apple pie bombs made with refrigerated biscuit dough and apple pie filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 pieces)
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling
Chop the apple pie filling into small pieces. This helps each bomb seal properly and ensures every bite has tender apple in it. The smell of cinnamon-spiced apples alone will make you smile.

  2. Flatten the Biscuits
Separate the biscuit dough and gently flatten each piece into a circle about 4 inches wide. I like using my hands for this step—it makes the process feel more homemade and comforting.

  3. Fill and Seal
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of apple filling into the center of each flattened biscuit. Carefully fold the edges up and pinch them tightly to seal. Roll gently into a smooth ball. Make sure there are no gaps, or the filling may leak during cooking.

  4. Air Fry to Golden Perfection
Lightly grease your air fryer basket. Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down, leaving space between them. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Watching them puff up is always satisfying.

  5. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush each warm pie bomb with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. This final step gives them that classic apple pie flavor and a slightly crunchy exterior.

Notes

  • Make sure to seal the biscuits tightly to avoid leakage during cooking.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on the size of the dough balls and your air fryer model.
