Description

A delightful cheesy chicken bake filled with spinach and creamy goodness.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup milk, whole or preferred
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • a pinch nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
  3. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until lightly browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and let it cool slightly before slicing into strips or cubes.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic, and milk.
  7. Add spinach and mix until evenly distributed.
  8. Add cooked chicken to the mixture and stir.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  10. Top with additional shredded cheese if desired.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  12. Serve warm.
