This delicious Lemon Garlic Pasta with Capers is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients

- 8 oz. spaghetti, cooked al dente
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil + more for tossing pasta
- 6–8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- zest of 2 lemons
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 3 oz. jar capers, drained
- 1/3 cup fresh chopped parsley
- Kosher salt
- fresh cracked pepper
- grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
- crushed red pepper flakes, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Before you drain the pasta, reserve about 1/2 a cup of pasta water.
- Toss pasta in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large saute pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium-low heat.
- Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
- Add lemon juice, lemon zest, capers, and chopped parsley to the pan along with a splash of the pasta water. Stir together and cook for 1 minute.
- Add pasta to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for about a minute or until it’s heated through. Add remaining pasta water as needed to coat the noodles.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes and enjoy!
Notes
- This dish is best served immediately.
- Feel free to add proteins like grilled chicken or shrimp for a more filling meal.
- This recipe can easily be adjusted for serving sizes by simply scaling the ingredient amounts.
