- 1 cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, drawing a 9-inch circle as a guide.
- In a clean bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add caster sugar while whisking until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in white vinegar and vanilla extract.
- Spoon meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it within the circle and creating swirls or peaks.
- Bake for about 1 hour until dry on the outside but soft inside. Leave in the oven with the door ajar to cool completely.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
